Folly Beach is a popular beach near Charleston, South Carolina. On the far north end of the island is a state park where you can see the remains of the old Morris Island. The island has been washed away, but the light that was constructed in 1876 still remains. For this photograph, I was able to catch the sun for only a few minutes as it finally appeared between two cloud layers. I liked the way these old trees on the beach seemed to be pointing directly at the rising sun. This photo was taken within a few minutes of "Morris Island Sunrise".
