Second Beach is located in the Olympic National Park on the coast of Washington State. On this morning, my wife and I woke early and used headlamps to find our way along the wet and foggy trail to the beach. This was one of the first photographs I took on this morning, before the sun had come up. I liked the way the light was bouncing off the clouds that were still clearing from the night before. Rialto beach on the coast of Washington State in the Olympic National Park. This photo marked the end of a magical day of exploring this amazing coastline with my wife. For most of the day, it was very foggy and overcast. Just as we were about to leave the beach we noticed the sun starting to poke through the dense cloud cover. I liked the way the light was raking across the sand and these rocks, highlighting their textures. Off in the distance you can see the town of La Push which is where the Quileute Nation is based. This photo is best printed in a 2:3 format.
Lake Crescent on the way to La Push, Washington, USA. My wife and I had to pull over for a look as the fog was clearing on this beautiful winter morning.
