I have always wanted to make a dramatic black and white image of a big waterfall, luckily for me it was a plain overcast day in Iceland ;-). One of the great things about Iceland is that even though it is commonly overcast and raining, the sky can still be very interesting. On this day there was a low ceiling and the sky had a nice, interesting structure in the clouds. I wanted to get as close as possible to the falls and still show some of the base of the falls as well as the surrounding area. I had to wade out into the stream with my water boots and made several test exposures. Unfortunately to get the shot I wanted, I had to venture deeper into the water than I had planned and the water made it's way over the top of my boots, soaking my shoes and socks for the rest of the day. Two exposures, tripod using Fuji X-E2s with Fujinon XF 10-24 f/4 R OIS lens, 6 stop ND filter.
